Commission

A commission allows the buyer to purchase a painting that has been created especially for them and resonates with them. It will be in keeping with the artists technique, however, the scale and subject is requested by the buyer.

A price for the commission will be quoted before commencing the painting. The cost will not exceed this quoted price once finished.

Before the quote is given the artist considers the following:

• The amount of time involved to complete the painting. 

• The degree of complexity of the subject/image that is to be painted.

• The scale of the painting.

• The materials involved to create the painting.

 Process of the commission: 

1. A discussion on the details of the painting, ie: Scale, subject etc. 

Tamara works from photographs. The buyer will need to provide a good quality photograph or Tamara can photograph the subject herself (depending on the buyers' location).

2. The buyer will be given a date that the painting will be completed by.  

A contract is signed agreeing to provide payment for the painting on its completion.

3. Progress pictures will be emailed at the buyers request. 

​

4. Once the painting is completed the buyer will receive an image of it. They will let the artist know if they're happy with the final piece.

​

5. The painting will be posted to the buyer, or the artist will deliver it.  

Please keep in mind that even small paintings can take up to a month to complete.
